Dhinidhi Desinghu Clinches Fourth Gold at National Games

In a stunning showcase of talent and determination, 14-year-old swimming prodigy Dhinidhi Desinghu continued her winning streak at the National Games by securing her fourth gold medal in the women's 50m freestyle event on Friday.

Representing Karnataka, Dhinidhi clocked an impressive 26.96 seconds to clinch the gold, further cementing her dominance in the competition. Her teammate, Nina Venkatesh, secured the bronze with a time of 27.34 seconds, while Maharashtra’s Avantika Chawan claimed silver with a time of 27.28 seconds.

Dhinidhi’s victory in the 50m freestyle adds to her already impressive tally of gold medals at the National Games. Earlier in the week, she emerged victorious in the women’s 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly, and the 4x100m freestyle relay, establishing herself as one of the brightest young swimming talents in the country. • Men’s 400m Medley: Karnataka’s Shoan Ganguly took home the gold with a timing of 4:29.10, while Gujarat’s Aryan Nehra (4:31.81) and Madhya Pradesh’s Advait Page (4:35.83) secured silver and bronze, respectively.

• Men’s 50m Freestyle: Maharashtra’s Mihir Ambre won gold with 23.29 seconds, while Karnataka’s two-time Olympian Srihari Nataraj (23.37s) and Tamil Nadu’s Joshua Thomas (23.40s) finished second and third, respectively.

• Men’s 200m Backstroke: Maharashtra continued its medal haul as Rishabh Das clinched gold with 2:03.34, followed by Tamil Nadu’s Nithik Nathella (2:04.75) for silver and Gujarat’s Devansh Parmar (2:06.56) for bronze.
