The home team doubled their lead in the 63rd minute when Liston Colaco made a darting run down the left flank and finished from a tight angle. Stewart’s presence in the box distracted Punjab’s defenders, making it easier for Colaco to find the net.

Punjab FC attempted a late resurgence, making substitutions in the 72nd minute to inject fresh energy. However, Mohun Bagan remained defensively resolute.

In the 90th minute, a defensive error by Asish Pradhan saw substitute Jason Cummings intercept the ball. Cummings squared it to Maclaren, who finished clinically, securing his brace and sealing a comprehensive 3-0 victory for Mohun Bagan.
